Temper Passing Process
Temper Passing is a key process that enhances the flatness of steel, significantly reducing the likelihood of stretching, straining, and fluting. This technique not only ensures that the steel achieves the desired surface texture and mechanical properties but also typically reduces its thickness by 0.5 percent to 3 percent. This reduction is crucial for adjusting the gauge and correcting inconsistencies in the steel.
Our state-of-the-art Temper Mills play a pivotal role in this process. Strategically positioned in-line before the leveler and rotary shear, these mills are equipped with a rotary brush unit, adding an extra layer of precision and quality to the steel finishing process.
