BESHERT: Meant to Be!
Beshert is the result of a partnership forged in 2013 by two veterans of the steel industry, Triple-S Steel and Steel Warehouse, but more importantly it is a story of friendship between two people, two titans of the steel industry: Gary Stein and Dave Lerman.
Their friendship began during a chance encounter at the MSCI association, where Gary of Triple-S Steel and Dave from Steel Warehouse first crossed paths. Their connection was instantaneous, marked by mutual respect and a shared vision that transcended mere business transactions. "Every time we got together it was evident that we looked at the world in a similar fashion," reflects Dave Lerman, Chairman of Steel Warehouse.
A Partnership That Was Meant to Be
Fast forward to 2013. Gary, driven by a vision to expand his business in Texas, realized the need for a steel processing facility in the region. He reached out to Dave, the man he knew to have extensive expertise in constructing steel processing facilities, since at the time Steel Warehouse had no operations in Texas. “I need a processor, and I’d like to have one in house, but I don’t want to compete with you and take away your customers,” admitted Gary during the call. Dave’s response solidified the cornerstone of Beshert’s legacy “Let’s build it together” he said.
The land for the facility was purchased and construction began before a formal agreement was ever fully ironed out. There is a contract, it’s filed away somewhere but Beshert is truly a story of a partnership built on a handshake deal. A partnership between two industry veterans, two friends and two companies was born. A partnership that was meant to be.
